Peace on Earth? If dogs and cats can…..you’d think we could, too.
This is painted in Genesis Heat Set Oils (I LOVE these paints!) on 11 x 14 gallery wrapped canvas. Shipping off to customer this AM; only 3 more to finish before Monday! Peace on Earth???
Aren’t humans amazing Animals? They kill wildlife – birds, deer, all kinds of cats, coyotes, beavers, groundhogs, mice and foxes by the million in order to protect their domestic animals and their feed.
Then they kill domestic animals by the billion and eat them. This in turn kills people by the million, because eating all those animals leads to degenerative – and fatal – - health conditions like heart disease, stroke, kidney disease, and cancer.
So then humans spend billions of dollars torturing and killing millions of more animals to look for cures for these diseases.
Elsewhere, millions of other human beings are being killed by hunger and malnutrition because food they could eat is being used to fatten domestic animals.
Meanwhile, few people recognize the absurdity of humans, who kill so easily and violently, and once a year send out cards praying for “Peace on Earth.”

Yes, in Buddhist terms this ‘samsara’ is a very sad condition. Good to be vegan if you can do it without judgement and pride; one must also consider as equal all the sentient beings that suffer when acres are plowed for growing the veggies. They are not big and furry and have big brown eyes so they are forgotten. But for every cow that gets killed, probably 10 million bugs and worms die to grow corn and carrots and wheat. What to do? Pray for each and every one of them to attain liberation.
